About

Peter Aidan Byrne is an educator and a writer of various things, including critical essays on pop culture, geek culture … just culture, really. His writing on the various and sundry TV incarnations of Star Trek can be found at Trek vs Trek. This blog is his mostly-in-vain attempt to make sense of what it means to be a maker and consumer of fiction, at a time when imagining other worlds somehow feels both more frivolous, and more necessary, than ever. He lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Treaty 7 land, in Region 3 of the Metis Nation of Alberta, and he hopes for a Star Trek future while bracing himself for a Horizon Zero Dawn future.
